Volunteer
Some of the most meaningful contributions don’t involve money at all, they involve showing up.
We welcome volunteers who want to make a direct difference in the lives of children and communities. Whether through our literacy programmes, corporate volunteering initiatives, or the Shine Literacy Hour, there is a place for you.
Literacy volunteering
Join our literacy programme and be trained in the Shine Literacy Hour curriculum. You’ll work one-on-one with children to strengthen their reading, writing, and speaking skills. There is no greater gift than a child’s confidence growing in real time.
Corporate volunteering

Shine Literacy Hour
A structured, well-loved session that gives children individual reading support. Volunteers are trained and supported throughout.
